They say it takes a village to raise a child and I am delighted to become part of the 'village' here at St Peters.

There are times when all of us, for any number of reasons can struggle and feel overwhelmed by everyday life, whether due to finance, housing, relationships or maybe you are just finding this season of parenting tough. My job is to offer help, support and act when needed, working as a link between school and families.

I am not an expert and I don’t know everything or have all the answers, but I can listen and try to find the right advice or support to help.

I can be contacted via email, Monday to Thursday, during school hours. I will also aim to be at the school gates on Monday and Tuesday, so feel free to catch me then, and you will be assured of a warm welcome.

I can accompany you to meetings in school, help with filling out forms or contacting outside agencies and resources. If I can’t provide what is needed, I will try my best to find someone who can.

In due time, I will also be offering parenting groups and will be looking at things such as transition to secondary school and coping with after school meltdowns.
