Strive Beyond; Defy Limits

SEN

St. Peter’s CE Primary Academy is committed to providing a high quality education for all the children in our school. We believe that all children have a common entitlement to a broad and balanced academic and social curriculum, which is accessible to them, and to be fully included in all aspects of school life. All children can make outstanding progress and we move each child from their individual starting points. We have high expectations of all children. Regardless of ability, every child’s progress is regularly checked and any child who appears to be stuck is acknowledged and enabled to move forward again.

The Local Authority's Local Offer

  • The Children and Families Bill became law in June 2014. From this date, Local Authorities and schools are required to publish and keep under review information about services they expect to be available for the children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) aged 0-25. This is the ‘Local Offer’.

  • The intention of the Local Offer is to improve choice and transparency for families. It will also be an important resource for parents in understanding the range of services and provision in the local area. The Wiltshire local offer can be found on the website: http://www.wiltshire.gov.uk/local-offer-schools-ey-providers
