  • SEN

t St Peter’s CE Primary Academy we are committed to providing an ambitious, high-quality education for every child. We believe that all pupils are entitled to a broad and balanced curriculum that is carefully designed to be accessible to all and enable every child to succeed.

We have high expectations for all learners and ensure that teaching builds progressively on pupils’ prior knowledge and starting points. Through regular assessment and careful monitoring of learning, teachers identify pupils who require additional support and respond quickly through adaptive teaching and targeted intervention.

Our aim is that every pupil makes strong progress through the curriculum and develops the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to thrive both academically and socially.

    The Local Authority's Local Offer

    • The Children and Families Bill became law in June 2014. From this date, Local Authorities and schools are required to publish and keep under review information about services they expect to be available for the children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) aged 0-25. This is the ‘Local Offer’.

    • The intention of the Local Offer is to improve choice and transparency for families. It will also be an important resource for parents in understanding the range of services and provision in the local area. The Wiltshire local offer can be found on the website:
