Welcome to
Welcome to St. Peter's CE Primary Academy. We are one of a number of brand new schools to have opened in September 2018. We began life in our custom built facility with three teachers, three teaching assistants and three classrooms. The vision and experience of our small staff made the mammoth undertaking of opening a new school extremely positive. Indeed, we have already grown to 14 classes and pupil numbers are closing in on the final capacity of the building: 420. For prospective parents, our pupil outcomes and OFSTED report are well worth a read. We are proud of them all. The best indicator of our success, however, is the happy and settled children who are already engaging well with the broad and challenging curriculum at St. Peter's.

What a fantastic day of learning and fundraising we had on Friday. Children wore brilliant number-themed outfits - from football shirts with favourite numbers to patterns of spots and stripes. Classes enjoyed fun problem-solving activities throughout the day, putting their maths skills to the test. We are incredibly proud to have raised over £300 for the @nspcc_official. Thank you to everyone who supported this special day!

We are so pleased to announce our Pupil Parliament MPs for this year! After many thoughtful speeches, lots of votes cast and plenty of tense waiting, the winning candidates were revealed in a special assembly this afternoon by Mr Martindale, Mrs Morris and Mrs Rynne. Our new MPs were proudly presented with their special gold ties, which they will wear every day as a symbol of their responsibility and leadership. A huge congratulations to our Prime Minister, Zara, who is joined by Deputy Prime Ministers Rithika and Ted. Together, they will lead the MPs and ministers within their ministries, representing the voices of our school community. We are so excited to see all they will achieve this year!

Year 4, 5 and 6 have had a fantastic UK Parliament Week exploring how Parliament works and the roles of MPs. Our pupil prime minster campaign is well underway, with manifestos displayed around the school and enthusiastic campaigning from all candidates. We were also delighted to welcome our local MP @johnglenuk who spoke about his role and took questions from Year 5 and 6. Polling day takes place on Tuesday so we have a couple of days of campaigning left!
Ask your child if they would like to start a graduate scheme project.
At St Peter's, we LOVE to read for pleasure. From Year 4 upwards, children who read four times a week and bring in their reading records earn a special token to choose a book from our very own book vending machine! #readingforpleasure #readingrocks
Year 4 had a fantastic time at The Living Rainforest last week. It was the perfect way to kick off our new geography topic! HUGE thanks to @ahuviphoto for joining us and taking these beautiful photos!
At St. Peter's we are passionate about engaging parents. One way we do this is by offering an extensive programme of parent workshops to enhance our curriculum
It's Science Week at St Peter's! From exploring animals and body parts in year 1 to investigating the circulatory system in year 6, the school has been full of curiosity, discovery and "wow" moments!
Year 6 enjoyed a day at the British Museum getting to see all their learning about Benin come to life. They had a talk all about what life was like during the Kingdom and how the Oba ruled his people. Then, they got to see the actual artefacts they've been looking at all term on display. It was a long day of travel but worth it for the experience!
We are running tours for potential new parents over the next few months! We'd love to show you around our school.
