The Diocese of Salisbury Academy Trust (DSAT) has formally consulted with the community on its opening of the new St. Peter’s CE Primary Academy to the west of Salisbury, near Wilton. This formal consultation period commenced on 6th November 2017 and ended at midnight on 4th January 2018
The Department for Education requires community consultation for all new schools. We wanted to ensure that all local schools, groups and individuals were informed of our exciting proposals, and have the chance to let their views be known.
We are grateful to all those who responded to the consultation and shall analyse and report the findings of the consultation as soon as possible.
We have launched this website. This contains details about how to ‘express an interest’ in the new school so you can keep up to date; you can contact us with any questions or comments; and complete the consultation. There are photographs showing the construction of the school, and key information pages about what the school will hope to achieve for local children.
We plan to admit 90 students initially in September 2018 - 30 in Reception and then 15 students in each year group Years 1 to 4. Applications will run parallel with those of other local schools. Details of how you can apply can be found at http://www.wiltshire.gov.uk/schools-learning-admissions-applying (by 15th January 2018 for Reception and after Easter for other year groups).
